Law Enforcement
The Patrol Divisions are responsible for the policing of the public, enforcing the laws of the State of Maine, and being one of the first responders to various emergency incidents that occur throughout Knox County. Due to the unique nature of Knox County, with the numerous island communities, the task can be more challenging but just as rewarding. In addition to our regular patrol positions, we have Deputies assigned to the islands of Vinalhaven and North Haven, via contracts, and to the Knox County Regional Airport, located in Owls Head, supporting security operations.
